The most common, and most blurry, image of Ceres that tends to end up in media.
The year 2015 is shaping up to be a banner year for dwarf planets. The Dawn spacecraft will arrive at Ceres after spending time with Vesta and New Horizons will zoom past Pluto and its children before heading to deep space. I have not heard anyone suggesting this, so I thought I would put it out there: Why not make 2015 the Year of the Dwarf Planet?
Pluto's planetary status aside, this might drum up some exposure for space in general. It could also show that planetary objects can be interesting even if they are not the size of Jupiter and Saturn.
Just a thought.
